File :: exist - Does file or directory exist

The function checks, whether a file exists or not.

Return value: Success ( bool )

The value is true when the function was executed successfully. Otherwise the value is set to false.

bool File :: exist ( )

The function returns true, when the file or directory referred to by the path does exist and false otherwise.
