memo

Memo fields are large text fields, which may contain text data, only. Memo fields are stored as references and are more flexible in size than strings.

All types of text references, i.e. STRING, UTF8, ASCII etc. defined as references rather than as attributes are called MEMO fields (properties). While BLOB properties may contain any kind of binary data, MEMO fields should contain text data, only, since the first 0-character is considered as end of text.
