Application server

An application server is a fat server, which provides WEB clients access to an application using a WEB browser. When requirements on clients are low: They just need a computer with internet connection. The server is a WEB server that communicates with an ICE server, which provides the interface for different web server scripting languages as PHP or JAVA.

On the server side, ODABA must be installed with the ICE application server. Besides, business and application rules must be provided on the server.
