BuiltinActions :: Associate - Associate instance from another collection (Shift-F1)

The action inserts one or more instances from the base collection to the collection defined as data source for the current region. The action is part of the default context menu and tool bar for lists and trees (...more), when the collection defined in the data source or for the current region is available in write mode and a base collection is defined for the regions data source. Base collections can be defined in the database model or explicitly in the regions data source (region field definition).

The action pops up with an associate dialog, which contains a check list, from which entries to be inserted to the regions collection can be selected:

The list displayed can be replaced by an application specific check list, which must be defined as control with the name associate in the GUI class for the data type of the regions collection.
