Symbol

Symbols allow displaying text, images or videos. When the data source is a text field, the control checks, whether the text contains a valid file location or not. In case of file location, the the file is checked to be an image, video or text. Depending on the type data will be displayed in different formats. When the text data is not a file, the text from the data source will be displayed.

When the data source provides binary data, the data is supposed to be an image.

Symbols provide read-only data. In order to create, update or browse symbol styles, one may select Objects/Styles/Symbol.
