base_collection - Base collection

Base collections are displayed in drop list controls or when calling the AssociateEntry default action. Base collection contain a set of permissible values, which might be assigned to an attribute or a reference.

Usually, base collections or supersets are defined in the data model and need nor to be defined in the data source. Sometimes, however, a different data source might be required within an application or predefined values are to be provided for attribute values, which do not have supersets in the data model.
