Regardless on data source settings (access mode), the control supports display operations, only. One may not enter data or create/delete entries in lists or trees. Standard action EditEntry, however, is supported, i.e. one may update selected instances. Setting access mode in data source to read (PI_Read) has the same effect, but in this case, subsequent instances are provided in read mode and cannot be updated.
