Database references

Databases are usually referenced as data sources. You may refer to application data, but also to the resource database as data source. Data sources are defined in an ini-file passed to the application (old style), in a configuration file (xml version of the ini-file) or in a data catalog.

Ini-files or configuration files are usually passed as parameter to the application. The system automatically considers each file as ini-file, which does start with an xml tag. Files containing an xml tag are considered as configuration files.
