Document exchange

Document exchange supports features for importing data from documents and exporting data to documents (document generation). Document exchange technologies are presented for MS Office as well as for LibreOffice.

MS Office technologies are based on MS Office macros, which have to be provided by the developer. When using OpenDocument format in MS Office, one may also refer to generic document exchange featured provided for LibreOffice.

LibreOffice (or OpenDocument) technologies are based on document templates with embedded OSI script (document generation) and a generic OSI interface for importing data from documents.
