Document import

One may import documents via the OSI document import interface (Open Office Documents), by means of macros (MS Office Documents) or by running ImportDocument, which imports document data into a fixed topic structure.

In order to assign document elements to proper database instances and properties, documents my be analyzed by styles, sequence and content. Referring to document content is always a specific method, which works on one type of document, only. Hence, content analysis is a task for an import application and not part of a generic solution.
