Control definition

Control definition includes assigning the control style, defining control elements and setting common control properties:

Most important is to assign a control style (Style). Without style reference, the control is not valid. Beside style reference, several other common control properties may be defined (1). Visible elements as fields (subordinated controls) and buttons may be defined in (2). Additional event action elements may be added as tool bar, menu or context menu (3). Finally, a context class may be created in order to implement actions and control behavior (4).

The System resource check box only indicates, that the resource has been imported from ODE resource database and is used in several places, i.e. one should be careful changing system control properties.

The Name may be changed, but this may affect running applications that refer to the control via ControlContext::control() function.
