A schema definition is a specific database model, which includes the definition of the object model (data model), the functional model for describing the behavior and the dynamic model for describing reactions on events. The schema consists of schema elements (repository resources), which might be more or less complex. Besides the standard schema definitions, a schema may contain extended schema definitions defined for specific applications.
