OSI, OIF and ODL entry points

The syntax description contains the description of the elements referenced in the OQL/ODL BNF specification for defining OSI expressions. It explains the concepts and usage of the syntax.

The OSI BNF provides two main entry symbols for importing schema definitions (ODL) and for running script files (OSI).

• OSI for defining OSI expressions - functional model
• ODL for defining model definitions - object model
• OIF for providing data

Both definitions can be preceded by data source definitions, debug information and comment blocks, which are described in common elements.
